Unfortunately, today is already the last day of our trip. We are sitting at the airport again, waiting for boarding to start for our return flight.

Of course, we enjoyed another delicious breakfast this morning. However, it was a little earlier than the last few days, as we still had a few things on our agenda before our return flight. First, we wanted to visit the Wallace Collection, where there is currently an exhibition by Gayson Perry.

It takes artworks from the Wallace Collection and gives them new meaning. It is very interesting, and some of the handmade artworks are truly impressive. For more detailed information about the exhibits, you can pick up an audio guide at the entrance, in which the artist himself explains his ideas. It is very interesting, if somewhat unusual. We then took a quick look at the rest of the Wallace Collection, which includes some very well-known works.

In general, however, I would recommend combining a visit to the museum with a visit to Marylebone, as the Wallace Collection is located right in the neighbourhood.

From the exhibition, we took the underground to Notting Hill and, of course, to the very popular Portobello Road Market. Vintage lovers in particular will get their money's worth here. There are some very nice vintage shops, not only selling clothes, but also watches and jewellery. The vintage watches are usually very inexpensive, and I had to buy one myself. I was really surprised that it still works perfectly. But the watch works flawlessly, and the seller adjusted it to fit me right away.

Of course, I also had to visit a shop selling those cute vintage patchwork jackets that you see everywhere on social media. And I actually found what I was looking for there.

Just be aware that none of the products in these shops have prices on them, so don't be afraid to negotiate with the vendors. They are usually very nice and you can save quite a bit of money.

So that we didn't have to eat sandwiches at the airport, we went to eat something in the corner. The restaurant called The Pelican had delicious food and we were really happy with the service.

Well fed, we drove straight back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and then headed to the airport. The Elisabeth line works really well and everything went smoothly, so we even had time for a pot of tea after checking in our luggage and going through security.

And yes, now we're sitting here at the gate waiting for boarding to start. I'm a little sad, even though I'm looking forward to my own bed and my routine again.

But for now, I'll say goodbye and hope you'll continue to follow my blog for lots of fashion and travel tips :)
